They got into line of battle, sixty thousand on our side and about twenty thousand of the rebels just on the other side of the river. We could see them getting ready to fight, placing their batteries on top of a hill but it did not amount to much. They found our men too many for them so they retreated to _____ two brigades of _____ men went after them and ____ them, took six baggage wagons and thirty six horses besides four pieces of artillery.
