Description: A gorgeous dynamic favorite of mine. A 60x50 Linda Touby from the 90s that was exhibited at the Bill Hodges Gallery and the Virginia Miller Gallery. Painting is in very fine condition for display. The longer it's admired, the more that comes out of the piece. Rich thick brushstrokes, A quick centerpiece of a collection for conversation. Touby doesn't work in this style anymore, she does much more of an abstract color field style now. As happens with many artists, I've found I really resonate with her earlier work than where it led her to. Her new work is beautiful and I'd certainly love those pieces for a number of interiors, but there's something about the dynamic of the works from this period. Signed lower right, as well as the rear of the frame. Some cracking in the paint due to age. 2 noted chips are not quickly noticeable, but are shown in the images. Edges have been wrapped in a white duct tape long ago, possibly even prior to first sale.
