Description: 6 Nice Greetings Novelty GLITTER Antique Postcards.1900s.EMB, w Names This is a nice selection of 6 NOVELTY postcards that are UNIQUE and DESIRABLE. These postcards were made to be sent out for GREETINGS and FRIENDSHIP occasions. These postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. Four of these are EMBOSSED, and they all have GLITTER attached to them making them NOVELTY postcards. Novelty glitter postcards took extra steps because they would have to first print the postcard, and then add the glitter. This is what makes them unique and not many would have been made this way. The postcards show FLOWERS and BIRDS, and they all have names made out of the glitter. Also, one of these postcards has GOLD TRIM. This is a nice group of antique novelty postcards that have the classic look of the postcards of that era, and these are collector items that will keep their value. One postcard shows red roses and blue forget-me-not flowers, with the roses around like a horseshoe for good luck. Another postcard shows a yellow pink rose with a light blue ribbon, with the name "Edna". There is a postcard with two birds in the center of an oval with blue and white flowers all around, as well as four leaf clovers. There is a potted flower postcard with red flowers and greenery. Another postcard shows different colored carnations with "Richard" made by glitter. And the last postcard is an AIR BRUSHED postcard with red flowers and greenery, and the glitter around is a red glitter. These are colorful and desirable antique postcards. Overall, a good selection of antique novelty postcards that are nicely designed! These are collector items because of their age, being embossed with some having gold trim, how they were made with glitter, and their appeal to antique postcard collectors. The postcards are UNPOSTED (4) and POSTED (2) with one having a cancel date of 1908. These postcards were most likely made in Germany during the 1907 - 1910 era, the time known as the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915). They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally. USA shipping is with tracking, and we use eBay Standard Envelope mail when the value is under $20 and the weight is under 3 oz; and, we use USPS First Class mail when the value is over $20 or the weight is over 3 oz.
