Description: 6 Glitter Greetings Novelty Antique Postcards.1900s.EMB, 1 HVY EMB. Nice This is a nice selection of 6 NOVELTY postcards that are UNIQUE and DESIRABLE. These postcards were made to be sent out for GREETINGS and FRIENDSHIP occasions. These postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. Five of these are EMBOSSED, and they all have GLITTER attached to them making them NOVELTY postcards. Novelty glitter postcards took extra steps because they would have to first print the postcard, and then add the glitter. This is what makes them unique and not many would have been made this way. The postcards show FLOWERS and a couple are AIR BRUSHED. One of the postcards is HEAVY EMBOSSED, with an extra sheet on the back. This is a nice group of antique novelty postcards that have the classic look of the postcards of that era, and these are collector items that will keep their value. One postcard shows red flowers with greenery and a dark green background with glitter all over the postcard. Another postcard has "Good Luck" with yellow roses in the background. There is a postcard with white flowers and greenery on a wheel barrel, with glitter on the design. This postcard was published by Samuel Langsdorf, a respected publisher of that era. Another shows red flowers with greenery with the message in glitter. The other two postcards are Air Brushed, one with the message "Respectfully Yours" and the other postcard has pink flowers with glitter all around. These are colorful and desirable antique postcards. Overall, a good selection of antique novelty postcards that are nicely designed! These are collector items because of their age, being embossed with a couple being air brushed, how they were made with glitter, and their appeal to antique postcard collectors. The postcards are all UNPOSTED. These postcards were most likely made in Germany during the 1907 - 1910 era, the time known as the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915). They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope.
