Description: This 6-piece luncheon/dessert plate set from Gien's Faiencerie De Gien France Toscana collection is an elegant addition to any dinnerware collection. The round plates measure 9 1/8” in diameter and feature a colorful floral scroll design on the rim. Crafted from earthenware/ceramic, these vintage plates are hand-painted and boast a glossy finish. Inspired by an original Gien design dating back to 1875 is a Renaissance style with an active pattern since 1996. The Toscana’s color palette lends itself to easily mix with nearly any décor. In good condition but does show signs of utensil marks/scratches. With the exception of one plate, no chips or cracks, but there is crazing on the top side of most of the plates. See all photos. The 1 plate that has a top chip is on the rim side. Hard to see in this pattern. See photo. As is typical of vintage Gien and other pottery dinnerware, it shows the signs of aged ceramics, like crazing. Perfect for blending in to older plate settings or frequently used sets.
