Description: Ayam Cemani originate on the island of Java which is located in Indonesia. Contrary to popular myth, ayam cemani do not lay black eggs. However, this extremely rare poultry breed is all black, inside and out. Known for their magical qualities in their native homeland, ayam cemani chickens are a beautiful medium sized fowl with lustrous shiny black iridescent feathers. They have a more jungle-fowl body type than their European cousins, the Svart Hona. We are a family-owned NPIP Certified farm and we follow a strict bio-security protocol to keep our farmstead AI Clean and disease free. Our breeding program is methodically documented and leakage should not be expected. We do not have any mulberry in our lines and you can expect high-quality hatching chicks to build your ayam cemani breeding program on, with very few culls. Our ayam cemani breeding trios are kept in separate 4ft x 16ft living quarters with their own fully enclosed outdoor runs, complete with constant fresh water and non-medicated feed. Its like they have their own chicken townhouses! We collect eggs daily and will not ship eggs that are any older than 5 days. This gives shipping plenty of time to route your order and still maintain a high fertility rate. Your hatching eggs will arrive unwashed. Do not wash them before incubation! This removes the outer protective and permeable layer that is necessary to develop. We also recommend that you unwrap them and gently let them rest for 12 hours before the incubation process begins. Eggs are shipped via USPS Priority Mail unless Expedited is selected at checkout. We ship Monday-Saturday. The eggs are individually wrapped in a bubble-wrap sleeve and then each of these wrapped eggs are placed in a shock-proof foam box specifically designed for shipping hatching eggs. Hatching Eggs: No Refunds or Guarantee By completing your purchase, you agree to the following terms. Due to the inherent challenges of shipping hatching eggs, **there is no guarantee on hatch rates**. Your results may vary between 0% and 100%. While our hatch rate is approximately 75% using Brinsea incubators, please remember that you are purchasing eggs, not chicks. Purchase only if you are willing to accept the risks associated with shipped eggs. Refunds will not be provided unfortunately because USPS does not offer reimbursement for damages, delays or postage paid regarding hatching eggs. USPS delivery times can sometimes exceed expectations. If your delivery takes longer than anticipated, it does not necessarily mean the eggs are no longer viable. Eggs can remain viable for up to 21 days from the date they are laid (although viability progressively declines after day 14). Each of your eggs will have the date it was laid written on it for easy identification. If your eggs are USPS delayed in transit for longer than 10 days, please contact us, and we will send a free replacement order with customer payment of reship costs.
