Description: Quantity of 5 - Copper tube replacement parts to fix leaking Solar Water Heater. After 10 years or so these will start to corrode and will need to be replaced when they start leaking. Easy to replace. Just remove the offending heat tube, Drain pressure from the tank,(If the water isn't too hot you can replace the tube without completely draining the tank) remove the locking nut with a 7/8" deep socket, push a 1/2" wooden dowel into the old part and wiggle it side to side till it comes out. Push the new part into the tank, replace and tighten the locking nut. Put some new heat compoundon the cleaned heat pipe ends and re-install AFTER the tank is filled. Keep those heat pipes in the shade once you remove them. You should also replace the magnesium sacrificial anode at the same time while the tank is drained to extend the life of your new parts.
