40's Orient Chinoiserie Manchu Gardens Salesman Sample Barkcloth Vintage Fabric

Description: This offering is for ONE unused unwashed tagged and signed salesman sample from the early 40's. Scenes of the orient...villages...people...pops of delighting colors that create this iconic art on cotton...yes sir...the thickest and nubbiest most traditional weave of barkcloth...its a pebble weave according to the tag...in never used used condition...a true deep dark unfaded fabulous black ground...bold pops of candied red...chartreuse...minty celery seafoam green...lime...dove gray...cocoa...dark chocolate...powder blue...turquoise...with white accents and dark chocolate lines. The tag is in photos so don't miss that as they is the window to the soul of this fabric. Top and bottom edges are serged as customary ford salesman samples that were used for door to door fabric sales. Measures 49 inches wide x 36 inches long. Flawless and enough for a couple huge pillows! Flawless. I take returns...but who wants to take a return right?
