#4. Vintage Putz with shed, woodpile, well w. cast led bucket, 2 pigs & dog

Description: What you might be interested in about the Putz: A Brief History of Christmas Villages from Family Christmas Online^TM Showing as pictured is a lot or putz characters and settings that could stand alone as a scene or add to an existing one. Measurements are stated so that the buyer can understand the scale. For your consideration are a handmade outhouse or shed (6 inches tall). It is very well made with mortar of some sort and natural pebbles, and it is weighty. There is a metal insignia on the top front. The door well-crafted and detailed. On the bottom of the shed is written "Rockpile" (Wood, metal, natural stone). It is an outstanding piece. I used it as a shed with the woodpile pictured nearby. The woodpile is also made of natural wood; white snowlike material is added as well as a miniature red cardinal. I'm sorry but I don't recognize what the flocking is made of and could have been added on after the pile was made. Also featured in the photographed scene is a 9-inch Flocked Bottle Brush Tree in a red pot (Typical of older German made trees). Also near the shed is a handmade authentic German holly plant in a red pot, stands 5.5 inches with outstanding color and presence in a putz scene. It will definitely POP. The German made "black forest" well is complete with in every detail including a very detailed etched lead bucket. Of most importance is the detail on the bucket which appear to be on front and back as roses with another spray of flowers and, I think, a dragon fly. I have no idea of the meaning. The handle actually lowers the bucket into the well. It is in excellent condition such that I hate to let it go. And, I have seen no other like it. Also included are two stout black pigs holding part of their pen. They are poised with personality. Very detailed. These are metal animals, and the black paint is flaking due to age. Flaking on metal animals is easily repaired but I do not touch up any items in my auctions because I believe that is the decision of the buyer. Lastly, my favorite, the golden retriever poised to hunt. I have owned two and loved them to pieces so you can tell that they had to be a part of my putz. Thank you for your consideration.
