Description: 4 VICTORIAN SILVER GREEN MAN NAPKIN RINGS CHASED WITH BIRDS. ANTIQUE. LEVI & SALAMAN A superb set of 4 Victorian solid silver napkin rings made by Levi & Salaman. Each is individually numbered 1 - 4 and chased with birds, scrolling foliage, and the Green Man, the legendary symbol of nature and rebirth. Each napkin ring is fully hallmarked with L&S for Levi & Salaman, the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for Birmingham, and the date letter 'a' for 1900, so 123 years old and officially antique. They are in excellent condition with no damage and good clear hallmarks. They are housed in their original case, which is lined in burgundy silk and velvet, in good condition with signs of wear consistent with age. Each napkin ring measures just under 4cms, the diameter is just over 4cms. All 4 together weigh 78g. They will be very carefully packaged and sent tracked and signed. I have a few novelty pieces of silver for sale, including some menu holders in the form of running foxes, a set of salt and pepper cellars in the shape of rabbits, a stag bottle stopper, a pair of Edwardian cutlery rests in the form of a teddy bear family, a pair of sausage dog cutlery rests, and an antique sauce boat with an unusual duck handle - please see my other items.
