Textured Fronts This is a nice selection of BIRTHDAY postcards that have the classic motifs that were seen on antique postcards from the early 1900s. These are NOVELTY postcards, and they have brightly colored FLOWERS and BIRDS in the designs. The postcards are HEAVY EMBOSSED with an extra sheet of paper on the back. They are firm like cardboard. The postcards are beautifully made with purple, red, pink and green colors. These colors are AIR BRUSHED on the postcards. The postcards also have textured fronts. They are from different publishers. These are good NOVELTY postcards that are not seen too often anymore. They are unique and not many HEAVY EMBOSSED postcards were made because of the extra steps needed in their production. Most of these were published in Germany, and they stopped making these type of postcards in the 1912 era. These are now truly collector items. These are good postcards to add to a collection. They would appeal to collectors because they capture the style used back in the early 1900s, and show a glimpse of life back then. They are colorful with good detail, and they are a pleasure to look at. Overall, a nice selection of antique Novelty Birthday postcards at a reasonable price. The postcards are UNPOSTED (2) and POSTED (2) with cancel dates of 1910-1912. They would have been "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope.
