EMB, w Value This is a nice mixture of 4 NEW YEARS POSTCARDS that are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s and were "Printed in Germany". They have the classic New Years motifs such as holly and berries, wintery snow rural scenes, flowers, etc. These are nicely EMBOSSED. One of these was published by E. A. Schwerdtfeger, a well respected publisher at that time (EAS logo). They are attractive postcards with good detail that makes them pleasing to look at. There is one postcard with boats in a lake and a sunrise. Around the picture is a horseshoe that is made out of forget-me-not flowers. There are two postcards with churches in the background, and snowy rural scenes around them. They both have evening / night designs. Then, there is a bright postcard with red roses and blue flowers that make up the phrase: "A happy New Year". These were made during the "Golden Age of Antique Postcards" (1908-1915 era). Overall, a nice selection of New Years antique postcards! These are collector items because of their age, being "Printed in Germany", and their appeal to antique postcard collectors. Antique postcards that were "Printed in Germany" are sought after and desired by collectors and dealers because they were the best published postcards at that time. The postcards are POSTED with cancel dates of 1907-1909. The postcards are EMBOSSED, and "PRINTED IN GERMANY". They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age.
