These slide tabs are designed to slowly wear down and leave a thin coating of plastic on the sideboard. When the slide tabs wear down to flush with the sides of your skis it is time to replace them. The slides tabs are NOT glued in but can be easily removed with a small pointed tool such as the corner edge of a small screw driver. You simply remove the old tabs clean out the hole of any debris. Then press the round sided end of the new slide tab into the middle section of the rectangular routed hole at a 30 degree angle. Then lightly tap the flat sided end of the slide tab with a small hammer until the rounded side end comes to a stop at the end of the routered groove. Then lightly tap straight down with the hammer the flat sided end until it sets all the way down in the routered groove.
