Description: Up for sale are four vintage salad plates made in the 1940s by Johnson Brothers in the "Old English" fruit pattern. Square plates measure 8" square and have a twisted rope rim. Each plate has a different fruit pattern surrounded by a pastel border - pink, blue, beige and green. All four plates are in excellent condition - no chips, cracks, nicks and almost no utensil wear. There is some light crazing on the backs - as is usual with these 80 year old plates. Two identical sets of these are available - this listing is for one set of 4.
