Description: Here is a rare 4 piece set of antique Staffordshire Gaudy Welsh / Dutch 9 inch plates in a pretty floral pattern. I have close-up photos that show the condition in detail, with all the age marks common to antique plates. To be honest, to me, they look better with the naked eye than through the super detailed camera lens. Most of the marks appear in the center of the plates, and a couple do have some crazing that is more obvious. But gosh, the colors are still quite vivid. They are somewhat fluted, I guess you’d call it - raised sections all round the rims. Two are marked “ironstone” on the back, 2 are unmarked. I’m not positive if they are considered Gaudy Welsh or Dutch, but from I can tell it’s Welsh because they are heavy and there are gold veins through the blue leaves. I think they are lovely, and hope you will too. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions. Thanks for looking!
