Tire valve stem caps are not meant to seal air in a tire or tube. Air sealing is done by the valve stem and valve stem core. A valve stem cap’s primary job is to prevent debris from entering the valve stem and/or foreign objects from damaging the valve stem core. Although these caps will serve that protection role just as well as standard valve stem caps, they should be considered as a decorative item and are not intended to stop a tire or tube from losing air. The process of 3D printing has the chance of leaving minor surface imperfections on the printed model. Every printed object is individually inspected to ensure its quality and functionality before packaging and shipping, but it should be noted that no two 3D printed objects will be 100% identical in fit and finish. There may be slight variations in color shading and surface finish between any two printed objects. Due to the characteristics of 3D printed plastics, it is recommended to not leave the item exposed to temperatures above 140°F/60°C for extended periods of time. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause the model to deform and lose its shape, or possibly weaken and fracture. It is possible for this to happen during shipment if it is transported in a vehicle that’s cargo area is not climate controlled.
