35th Infantry Division White Back Patch WWII Vintage Europe France Germany

Description: The Patch: This auction is for One WWII Original 35th Infantry Division shoulder patch with an OD Border and a white back. This patch is in good condition. It has a very nice white backing. This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic. The History: The 35th Division was shipped to the European Theater in May of 1944. They entered combat in July and headed for St. Lo, France. They served with distinction mopping up the Cotentin Peninsula and then helped stop a German counterattack in the area around Avrances. In September the division raced across France and captured Nancy. During the Battle of the Bulge, the division fought with the Third Army to relieve Bastogne. After the Bulge, the division fought its way into Germany, going 295 miles inside of Germany by the time the war had ended. This division was featured in the movie Kelly's Heroes starring Clint Eastwood. Please read my auction requirements. I have changed them based upon feedback and ratings received.
