Description: Dee J. Setalla is a tribal member of the Hopi-Tewa Reservation and, more specifically, a member of the Bear Clan. He comes from a family of other well-known artisans including Stetson Setalla, Joy Navasi and Burel Naha among others. The artwork on his pottery depicts a more traditional style and uses natural pigments which are gathered from the Hopi reservation This pot is 13 1/2" in diameter and 4 3/4" tall. The pictures included in this listing display this pot in multiple lighting scenarios. We have listed it as new because our store has been the only owner of the pot since it was purchased directly from the artisan. However, the pot does have some blemishes that are shown in the pictures. "Chips" on the pot can occur over time as granules of sand that hardened with the pot after the firing process begin to fall off and take some of the paint with it. Other factors, of course, can include normal wear and tear due to store display moves or customer handling. As a result, we are accepting offers on this pot.
