Description: 3 Washington Mixture Antique Patriotic Postcards. EMB, Gold. PUBL: Winsch This is a very nice group of PATRIOTIC POSTCARDS showing GEORGE WASHINGTON and honoring his Birthday and life. These postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. The postcards are colorful and attractive. The postcards show Washington in portraits, with one showing him with cherries. The postcards are nicely EMBOSSED and they are enhanced with GOLD trim in the design. These are collector items because of their age, the attractive colors and gold trim, and their desirability to Washington and patriotic antique postcard collectors. The publisher of these postcards was John Winsch, who was very active during 1907-1915, which is known as the "Golden Age of Postcards". Most of his work was "Printed in Germany", and issued in sets. He is considered as being one of the top "most wanted publishers" by collectors. He is especially known for using very good artists including Schmucker and Elliot. Also, he is credited for developing Novelty postcards using silk threads, ribbons, beads, and silk textured fronts. His postcards always bring higher prices and have good value. The postcards are UNPOSTED and would have been published in the 1908 era. The postcards were "PRINTED IN GERMANY" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915). They have divided backs. These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear due to their age (over 100 years old!). The photos show the postcards and their backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally.
