Description: 3 Vtg Drafting Sets Apollo Keuffel Esser Gramercy M08A Dietzgen Stellar 1288-PJL Here is a mixed group of 3 vintage drafting sets in the original cases. No instructions are included. The tools inside are how I found them - I have not removed or added tools. I am not sure if all items are original to each case. One set may be complete and two are incomplete.I have placed a ruler in some pictures for size reference.I have not cleaned or polished these tools. No musty or smoke odor.- Black case with red soft cloth lining: Lid has "M08A". This 11 piece set may be complete. The three compass tools are marked "Gramercy Germany". Five parts are marked "Made In Germany" or "Germany". One pointer is wrapped in wax paper. The cylinder, black handle and pointer are unmarked. The cylinder holds lead, pointers, a nail and dial. There is a polishing cloth marked "Precision Instruments Germany", and this has some smudges, soiling. The black textured case has a two metal snap flap closure. The case black surface has some fading - it is glossier underneath the flap area, and there is a small surface tear. The red cloth is clean, minor wear and dust particles. The tools show minor wear and tarnish, smudges.- Black case with purple cloth or velvet lining: There is a small mounted enamel metal plate inside with "Apollo Keuffel & Esser Co NY". The front of the case is numbered at the lower corner however it is faded and hard to read. This 12 piece set is incomplete, missing two parts - may have been a handle and pointer. The five compass and divider tools are marked "Ecco Co Germany". The other parts are unmarked. The cylinder holds two pointers. There is a little unmarked metal plate. The black textured case has a two metal snap flap closure. The case black surface has wear, scuffs, creases, and some peeling up to the flap covering. The case snaps have paint wear, tarnish, and do not snap shut. The purple cloth is bright, has some rubs and dust particles. The tools show some tarnish spots, more smudges.- Hard black plastic case with red soft cloth lining: Lid has "Dietzgen Stellar 1288-PJL", and the back is marked "Germany". This 9 piece set is incomplete, missing one small part. The larger compass and divider are marked "Dietzgen Germany". The other parts are unmarked. The black plastic cylinder holds lead and pointers. There is a polishing cloth marked "Dietzgen puts the accent on quality". The black plastic case is in good condition, no chips or cracks; light scratches on the bottom. The foam padding underneath the red cloth lid covering has disintegrated and is crumbling. The purple cloth is bright, has some rubs and dust particles.
