Description: Lot of 3 Beautifully detailed Victorian "Picture" Buttons. Silver and gold toned/plated over pewter and copper base. 2 piece loop shank construction featuring repousse style stamped figure over mirrored or tinned back. In excellent condition with some oxidation on mirrored surface but fully functional and sturdy. Approximately 18mm diameter x 2mm (8mm including shank). These were really hard to photograph! I did not use any filters or alter them so the difference in color is simply due to the backdrop. The pics in my hand are the closest to what they look like in real life. Silver backing is assumed to be pewter as it marks a white paper but could be another white metal or even a plated copper/brass. Shank is made of copper. There is a type of finish on the soldier which may have been a fine plating but without testing is hard to say. Please see photos for details.
