Description: LOT OF THREE SCARCE SAUCERS 6" diameter. Heavy, thick English ironstone. Good quality. This plates have a registry mark that dates it to 1859.This is the Ceres Shape ironstone by Elsmore & Forster. This plate is marked with an impressed maker's mark. Wheat pattern with copper colored wheat and green foliage band along the edge. There is crazing in the glaze, which is fairly typical of a piece from this time period. ONE HAS ALSO DISCOLORATION Overall nice condition.There are others in this identical pattern in a separate listing that contains a newer back stamp.
