Description: Here are three beautiful old fine art prints by Howard Chandler Christy. They are stunning in color and detail, depicting three characters perhaps from the illustrations from Sir Walter Scott's The Lady of The Lake. This sale is for all three which we bought in the mid 1970s from a rare bookseller in Concord, MA on Thoreau Street. There are taped marks on the back of each as depicted in the photos, and three tiny tears only to the outer edge of the borders which would be matted. Very little border discoloration and it is uniform with no foxing marks that I can see. They were never framed and stored flat safely in acid free sleeve with other much more valuable artwork. As the photos reveal all three have his signature in the print. They measure illustration size at just over 18.75 inches in width by 11.5 inches high. Lovely. I can't say where they were before but they have no smoke or other odors and are in excellent vintage condition. I remember they were pricey then. Now it has come time to clear out everything.
