Description: 3 big Oregon flawless Sugar Pinecones. 8in. and 9in. No bugs. Crafts, holiday decor. Hand picked legally in the Deschutes national Forest. I obtained my paperwork through the Ranger station. Never picked a tree bare, I made sure to leave the forest critters food for the winter. They love the pine nuts.. I made sure not to disturb the wildlife to much while gathering cones. I will be posting a bunch of different sizes shapes and colors.. always fresh from this season October 2022. Most cones where either bathed in light vinegar for discoloration and to keep it from molding, baked at 200 degrees for 20 mins to remove bugs and help dry, or dipped in boiling water for the pitch to melt of and leave a beautiful glossy seal... None of these steps will change the integrity of the cone. and it give it a lite natural earthy pitch smell that lasts all season. May be a little tacky but a little rubbing alcohol can fix that. Some cones may have black sun speckles this is normal. If your looking for something specific, let me know I can work with ya .
