Description: Here we have a nice pair of vintage tenon saws by Spear and Jackson as follows: 10 inch saw with steel back. Handle has been stripped, sanded, reshaped slightly and waxed and is nice and smooth in the hand. There is light rust staining to the saw plate but nothing that affects use. The teeth are nice and even and will sharpen up for use nicely.12 inch saw with brass back. Handle has been stripped, sanded and waxed and is nice and smooth in the hand. The plate has been cleaned and the brass back and studs are all polished. The teeth are rather uneven so would benefit from a recut although they are quite sharp and cut well.Both saws are Spear and Jackson although the 10 inch was only branded on the handle which was sanded off with the refinishing. Overall a nice pair of tenon saws that have many years of life left. Postage is to UK mainland or ebay GSP only.
