The body is painted with Ryumon-nuri, a technique used in Miyagi's traditional Naruko lacquerware.It is said that it was already founded around 1624-1644 (Edo/Kanei era).Naruko lacquerware is characterized by its unique coating technique, which includes kijiro-nuri, which makes the best use of the base material, and ryumon-nuri, which uses sumi-nagashi techniques.
