Heathy, vigorous plants produce excellent yields of 20 to 30-pound melons with striped, green exteriors and interiors filled with juicy, orange meat. The flavor of Orangeglo is in a league of its own. It is perfectly textured and exceptionally sweet with tropical undertones that are reminiscent of pineapple or mango. One of the local farms grew out all of our watermelons this summer and in a nearly unanimous vote, Orangeglo won the taste contest.
