22 vintage Norse Runes letters~hand made shell beads~Celtic jewelry making ART

Description: Here are 22 hand made, vintage Norse letter "beads" for art projects! They are really well made, consisting of a pretty wood side with the letters inscribed (wood burned?) and a shell side; they each have 2 holes bored through them cross wise.Pls check all of my pics carefully as they are sort of hard to describe & see their size in relation to the penny in the pics. Their size is average 1 1/4" long X 3/4" wide but they are all different! Some are a bit longer, wider, or different shape. They measure an average of 1/2" thick but again, they are all different. I don't think the alphabet is complete as there are only 22 but they are a nice representation of the Norse alphabet---one is actually blank with no letter at all.All the beads have 2 tiny holes bored through side to side; I don't know if they are for beading, sewing, or just learning Norse letters but they could be used for anything such as jewelry.The shell sides are different too---some are rounded shells and some are the conical kind. CONDITION: Vintage, hand made with slight imperfections in the holes, not symmetrical, all slightly different sizes/shapes, alphabet not complete, shells have all their natural differences in shapes, colors, etc...
