Description: Here we have a group of 22 smaller mixed whelks that we hand picked from the shores of North and South Carolina. Group includes at least three types of whelks one may find on the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and in the Gulf of Mexico. Included are Knobbed, Lightning and Pear whelks. These range from approx. 1 3/8 - 2 1/2 inches in length. All have been rinsed clean in freshwater and photographed dry. You will find some chips, rough edges and imperfections in this group. Please see all my photos for a good look. This lot will also include some bonus shells of our choice.I SHIP ONLY TO THE UNITED STATES All our shells have been cleaned. Some we have polished with mineral oil and some have been clear coated with a gloss finish. See my description details to see what has been done to the shells in each listing.
