Description: Davo United States Postage Stamp Hingeless Extra Supplement 2020. The "Extra" pages Supplement contains only spaces for individual stamps that were issued as se-tenant. Read on for a further explanation. As the story goes, when Davo albums were first introduced in the United States, the publisher in Holland, continued making them as they had since 1945. That is, se-tenant varieties (stamps of different designs attached to each other) were pictured both as single individual stamps AND as pairs, blocks, strips, etc. U. S. collectors revolted. "Why should I have to buy two of every se-tenant issue? Especially since I though I had bought everything I needed from the Post Office, and they no longer have these in stock." At the added insistence of the U.S. importer, Harold Cohn, Davo took out the illustrations of individual se-tenant issues. Collectors once again howled. "My collection now is not complete!" they complained. So in an effort to please everyone, Davo began publishing every year a set of "US Extra" pageswith spaces for individual stamps that were issued se-tenant. If you wanted you collection to be complete, you could simply add these pages in your album. As with the other Davo Hingeless pages, stamp spaces include crystal clear protective mounts already affixed for immediate insertion of your stamps. Catalog numbers are not included. They are printed on white, 80 lb. acid-free paper and measure 10 3/4" X 12 1/4".
