Description: In ancient Greek mythology, Zeus was worshipped as the supreme ruler of Mount Olympus and the Pantheon of gods that lived there. He was the god of the sky and weather, law and justice, morals and fate, and the spiritual leader of both gods and men. Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 2oz of 99.9% pure silver. The coin’s reverse depicts a bearded Zeus rising up into the stormy sky wielding his thunderbolt and sceptre with an eagle flying above his shoulder. The design includes the inscription ZEUS and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. To capture the depth and detail of the design, each coin is meticulously struck in high relief to a rimless format and features an antique finish. No more than 1,500 of these Gods of Olympus – Zeus 2014 2oz Silver High Relief Coins will be issued by The Perth Mint.
