It was designed in tandem with iconic Japanese surf rock guitarist Nobuhiro Mine, likely to belatedly celebrate the 40th anniversary of Mine’s initial endorsement of Guyatone in 1967 (the Sharp 5 model was the signature model of Mine and his band the Sharp 5). Tonewoods include a chambered mahogany body, bookmatched tiger flame maple top, five-ply mahogany/maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard, offering strong natural resonance. The Fishman active undersaddle piezo pickup delivers warm brassy growl and punch, with a wide array of tonalities on tap via the broad sweep of the Tone knob, ranging from focused cut to smooth, airy breadth.
