The Sovereign has remained in circulation for over two centuries. Aside from Jubilee and commemorative years, it still features the original St. George and the Dragon design. The featured 2009 half gold sovereign is proof struck and absolutely remarkable. The reverse side has a depiction of St George on horseback as he slays a dragon. The obverse features the fourth Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin arrives in the original capsule and housed in the Royal Mint clamshell display box along with the certificate of authenticity.
