Description: 2009 BARRANCO BROTHERS Concert Poster SIGNED x2! Rock & Roll Mississippi PEAVEY!. This is a MINT CONDITION 12” x 18” unused 14 year-old concert poster from June 6th, 2009 featuring an evening with the famed Barranco Brothers, Johnny, Vince and Michael, of Jackson, Mississippi. The show has held on the Peavey Stage at the Auditorium, Duling Hall, in the Fondren area of Jackson. This poster was signed recently in gold Sharpie by both Johnny and Vince, but not by Michael, who sadly passed away not long after this concert. I will enclose printed photos of both Johnny and Vince as they signed the poster. Johnny first achieved local and regional fame in the early 1970’s as the lead singer and guitarist for the Crackerjacks, then later as a singer and composer in New York, where he worked with many of the top name acts. He also became one of the most famous and sought-after composers and performers of commercial jingles, many of which became industry standards and are still being used today. Younger brother Vince joined Johnny in New York in the late 70’s, then later in Nashville, where he worked in the recording studios and on tour with many of the biggest acts in country music. Michael, the youngest of the Barranco brothers, was in many ways the musical equal of his older siblings, but his greatest fame was achieved as one of the south’s most talented young architects. His life was tragically cut short in an automobile accident, and his funeral was attended by hundreds of grief-stricken family and friends. He is fondly remembered and missed every single day.
