This 15/42t is the DEFAULT Quick Acceleration Ratio at checkout if desired) *Your top gear cruising rpm's will be higher, and your top speed will be lower with this quick acceleration kit. Original Factory Supplied OEM 16/42t size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's, and reasonable high speed engine rpm's with the least amount of compromise on either top end or low end acceleration. If you just want oem gearing and are using your entire gear box ratio as it is from the factory, then Request OEM 16/42t sprocket sizes in this 530 kit. Freeway Commuter Gearing 16/41t will lower your top gear cruising rpm's approx. 300 rpm's for a more comfortable high speed commute with better gas mileage and higher top speed. Request 16/41t for Freeway Ratio during check out in the "Add Message" tab. Teeth and Sizes Explained...** A -1t front sprocket change is EXACTLY the same ratio change as +3t rear sprocket change.** A -2t front sprocket change is EXACTLY the same ratio change as +6t rear sprocket change (Very Extreme change)** A -1t front and +2t rear combination is EXACTLY the same as a +5t rear only change with stock front sprocket. ** A 520 size chain is approx. 2mm narrower than a 525 chain, and 4mm narrower than a 530 chain. Less mass equals lighter weight equals easier to spin, but the ratio (teeth size) change makes the big difference.
