Description: This Les Paul has seen it all! Aged to a perfect yellow with natural checking and some wear on back of the neck.This is a 2005’ Custom, Custom Shop model based on a mid 1950’s model with a real Ebony fretboard. Two original Gibson hum-buckers Gibson's 490R in the neck position, which offers the tonal characteristics of the original PAFs, and the 498T in the bridge position, which swaps the 490R's Alnico Il magnet for an Alnico V, thus making it slightly hotter with emphasis on mid-ranges and highs! The guitar has been refretted with 22 gold jumbo fret wire and has low action. The truss rod turns just fine and the guitar has been set up by a professional luthier. It plays extremely well as expected, weighing in at 9.04lbs.The neck is similar to a 1959’ Les Paul! I do have some extra Gibson gold speed knobs included in the Gibson Custom Shop Case!I don’t have any case candy with this guitar but it has been authenticated by Gibson.
