Description: 2005 Bowman Draft Picks GOLD #129 JUSTIN VERLANDER PSA 5 ?? RC 1ST YEAR CY YOUNG. I'm generally pretty accurate on predicting what grade PSA will give on my submissions. I rarely submit anything modern to ultra modern that will grade lower than an 8. This card I had ranging from 7.5-9. A slightly worn corner and very minor surface blemish had me leaning more towards the 8 range. An 8 grade would still increase the value and sell for more than the ungraded card. When this came back as a 5 I honestly couldn't believe it. I have Vintage cards from the 60-90's graded 6 or better that are in WAY worse condition than this card. PSA does not give any reasoning so it is a total mystery to me. Odds are high that this card will regrade at a 7 or better.
