A set of six films is packed in a metal box, sealed along the parting line with insulating tape. The anti-fog film is a 6 cm (2.36 ") plastic circle with a special lubricant (gelatin) applied to one side of the circle. Please Note after many years the lubricant has probably dried out so not easy to use on gas mask for original purpose. The film is inserted into the spectacle assembly with the lubricated side outward (away from the glass). To do this, remove the pressure ring inserted into the spectacle holder, wipe the glass with a clean cloth and, holding the film with your fingers by the edges (with the cut edge to the inside of the palm), slightly bend it and insert it into the spectacle holder; Secure the film with a clamping ring so that the cut of the ring is facing towards the fairing of the helmet-mask (masks). The film is also inserted into another spectacle assembly. The non-fogging side of the film (NP) is determined by light exhalation on both sides of the film: on the lubricated side, exhaled air vapors do not condense.
