2 Vintage Ichimatsu Japanese Dolls~Boy & Girl~Mid-Century~Gofun, Glass Eyes~VG

Description: Description:These are two sweet Japanese Ichimatsu dolls from sometime in the mid-century. They come from the original owner, who remembers playing with them (with her mother’s supervision!) when she was a little girl and they have been loved and cared for. They are about 9 inches tall, the four limbs and head are attached with elastic, and they have glass eyes. Their surface is gofun (oyster shell) and their kimonos are silk. The painting on their faces is very sweet. They are in reasonably good condition, with a number of flaws, as noted below. Condition: These dolls are in good vintage condition. They show signs of being played with and age. There is gofun loss in several places, mainly on the legs. There is a very fine crack along the boy’s neck. Their kimonos are very clean, with a little fraying at the fabric edges. The elastic that holds the limbs and head to the torso is old and stretched out - it is intact, but loose and may need to be restrung to keep the dolls safe and sound.(Please see photos for details.) All items are wrapped, padded, and packed carefully in cardboard to ensure their safe arrival.____________________________________Okay, here are all those pesky little details: Payment:I ask that you pay within 3 days. This means I'll have to follow eBay procedures for nonpayment of an item.Shipping:I always choose the least expensive form of shipping in order to save you money. The U.S. Post Office provides great service and their package tracking is free on all your purchases. However, sometimes speed is more important and I am happy to upgrade your shipping options if you can pay for the additional costs. If you contact me BEFORE payment, I am happy to set up alternative shipping methods, such as FedEx or UPS. I am an excellent packager and have a good supply of mostly recycled packaging supplies. I assure you I will take great care when I pack up your items. I've never had any damages yet! I go to the Post Office almost every day, so you can be sure that your item will be packed up and on its way to you either the same day or by the end of the next business day. Customer Service/Communication:Please remember, I have no control over the speed of the shipping once I drop your package off at the Post Office. I ship quickly on my end, but sometimes "stuff happens" during transit. I'm so sorry, but remember, it wasn't me. I personally hate it when I don't know what's going on with my online orders.
