Description: These two vintage Japanese Ichimatsu gofun dolls are a must-have for collectors of Asian dolls. The composition dolls are beautifully handmade with intricate details including hand sewn traditional kimonos. The bodies look like they are made of paper machete, but I am not sure. They both have non-working squeakers, the girl’s in her belly and the boy’s in his back, and brown glass eyes. The girl measures 10 inches from the top of her hair to the tip of her toes while the boy is 9 inches from the top of his head to the tip of his toes.. They originate from Japan and are a perfect representation of Japanese culture. The dolls come in their original boxes, adding to their overall value. These dolls are a great addition to any collection and will surely be cherished by any collector. CONDITION: Good unplayed with condition. They have some prominent seams or cracks, especially the boy, and paint flaws related to manufacturing. The boy’s head has a crack from ear to ear over the top of his head which may or may not date to manufacturing. There is a bit of hair glued over the crack on both sides like the maker was trying to hide the crack. The squeakers do not work. As pictured. Please see photos. Questions happily answered.
