The dust jacket and book are Davenport's book, however the spine and boards depict "Mozart and Masonry", by Paul Nettl. See photos: 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10. The mishandling at the publisher attached Davenport's book, and dust jacket, to the spine and boards of Paul Nettl's 1957 book. I can't find any other books like this. I am not sure how many other books might be affected by this mix-up. So, until I learn something different I have to believe this is a rare and unique situation where the covers of Nettl's book were not removed before processing Davenport's book through the binding process. 2. Letters of Mozart, Hans Mersmann ed., Dorset, NY, 1986: the book and dust jacket are in very good or better condition. The books appear as though they have not been read. The spines are tight and straight, though misbound, and the boards are not loose. the corners are square. There are no missing, loose, or damaged pages. There are no stamps or stickers. There is no writing or highlighting in or on the books. These are not ex-library books. Please see all photos.
