Description: Selling my building. Liquidation in progress. Offered here is this pair of extraordinary abstract paintings and a rare representation of the short lived era of "Brutalism." They are a mixed medium of watercolor and egg tempera or Casein on cardboard that are signed "Lee Kowels" in the lower left corner. I believe the works were executed circa 1950s. The paintings, on Crescent board, measure 16 x 12 inches each and are set in matching period frames measuring 20-1/2 x 16-1/2 inches.Unfortunately, not much is known of the artist at this time.CONDITION: This unique artwork has "pigment blisters" and a few appear to have "popped." It is unknown if this was the artist's intent, but the work is in pristine condition, otherwise. The artist made frame has a somewhat crude finish, but is in excellent condition.BUYER PAYS SHIPPING!
