2 GOLFER Royal Doulton D6623 Large & D6756 Small Character Toby Jugs Version 1

Description: This listing is for a pair of Golfer character jugs by Royal Doulton.The large Golfer stands an impressive 7.5 inches, making it one of the taller character jugs manufactured by Royal Doulton. This jug is model # D 6623. It was manufactured between 1971 and 1995. This is the first version of the Golfer jug produced by Royal Doulton. A second version was released in 1990, and a third (small) version in 1997. Interestingly this version of the Golfer can be found with two different model numbers. D 6623 and D6627 are both commonly found. My understanding is that the D6623 was the official model number, but neither model number is more valuable than the other. There was also a limited edition colorway that was produced in 1987.The small Golfer stands 4.5 inches tall and is model # D 6756 and was produced for just three years from 1987-1990, making it more difficult to find.These jugs are from my personal collection of over 900 toby and character jugs.
