One is a dark (1.85") fossil plant leaf, from the world-famous fossil beds of Fossil Lake, Green River Formation, Wyoming. From the Eocene, 52 million years ago. The other is also is from Fossil Lake, with part of the leaf missing, and measuring 2.2". One leaf had insect eggs on it, as you can see in the photos. The plate for the bigger leaf is about 4.6" by 4.8" at its greatest width. It is sturdy, weighing 15.95 oz. The other plate is 3.6" by 3" (varies), and weighs 7.25 oz.
