Description: Here we have a unusual offering, a pair of Blessed Candles, 51 percent bees wax, in original box produced by Dadant & Sons, Hamilton, IL.. There is a tri fold paper guide titled "Visitation of the Sick" and the Imprimatur is Joseph H. Schlarman, D.D., Bishop of Peoria. The candles are nestled in fine paper wrap. The purpose of the guide is to provide healthful inspiration from the bible for a ailing person. This artifact I am guessing is from early 20th century, 1900 to 1920's. Only a guess.
