Description: This is a pair of USPS stamp sheets that showcase the beauty of America and its states. Both signed by the illustrator/artist Lonnie Busch of Franklin, NC. The Greetings from America stamps are reminiscent of the large-letter greetings postcards that vacationing tourists of the 1930s and 1940s sent back home. In addition to the state name, each stamp contains images identified with that state. The state bird, flower, tree, capital, and date of statehood appear on the back of the liner release paper. Artist Lonnie Busch, who had created the artwork for the 2002 Greetings from America issue, illustrated Wonders of America stamps. They feature large lettering describing the superlative plus smaller type detailing the name or location of the featured subject. More information about each of the wonders was also printed on the backs of the stamps. With a total of 90 stamps, it's a perfect addition to any collection. Each sheet is in near mint condition with nice strong signatures suitable for framing. Stamps feature stunning designs that highlight the wonders of America and greetings from different states.
