Description: Two Beautiful antique brick pavers made by the Baltmore Block W.P.B. Co. {Westport Paving Brick Co} They are made of clay and are reclaimed pieces. The bricks are red in color, double-thickness, each showing unique characteristics. It took many hands to create these bricks, they are over 100 years old, which adds to their historical and antique value. These rare historic bricks manufactured in the late 19th century were so highly regarded that they were exported to other cities for the construction of driveways, streets, alleys and sidewalks. By the mid-1920s, with the increase in automobile traffic, a more refined surface was needed to provide drivers with a smoother ride, and the use of brick streets came to an end.
