1st printing Sarum The Novel Of England by Edward Rutherfurd! Author’s 1st Book!

Description: Here is a wonderful copy of Sarum The Novel Of England by Edward Rutherfurd. This is a first American edition first printing as shown on the copyright page published by Crown Publishing in 1987. This is also the author’s first published book. This epic novel traces the history of England from the Ice Age to the present day which in itself is a massive undertaking. The binding is square, tight, and the text is immaculate throughout. There is a previous owner’s name in ink written on the first free endpaper as shown. The navy blue boards are extremely clean and the black cloth spine has s clean but does have wear at the bottom spine end also as shown in the photos provided. There is also wrinkling as a result I would image of the massive size of this tome. The gold gilt lettering is bright and beautiful as one can see. The four corners do have some light wear. The dust jacket has been price clipped with evidence remaining that there was in fact a price on the front flap. There is wear at the two upper corners and light wrinkles at the spine ends. A truly nice copy of Rutherfurd’s first published book in a first edition first printing.
