Description: An incredibly collectable set (A Group Of Noble Dames is particularly rare and expensive). Both of these books are in very good condition, but suffer the typical exterior wear and tear which is common to cloth books of this nature. The exteriors are designed by Charles Ricketts, and are highly sought after. These are both true first editions too. Both books are generally straight and true with only a very minor book lean. Both spines have discolouration and/or fading, but decoration and wording all visible (this fade/discolouration is common to the books, as the cloth and colours used have not aged well, but is as a result not an enormous condition concern -- hindsight is a great thing, but a different material/colour palette would have worked wonders!). There is a very small tear to top left part of spine on A Group Of Noble Dames. Otherwise, both books have small amounts of rub/wear and tear, but nothing notable. Exteriors are therefore very good. In terms of interior, both are very good/excellent with the only noted personalisation being hand-written bookseller notes. Previously, these were priced up as 110-140, but are in the present day MUCH more valuable: A Group Of Noble Dames is currently available for sale in similar condition for prices typically in the 200-700! range. These are priced up by me in a manner in which Life's Little Ironies is a gratis item. But best of luck with any offers Note: all books are delivered in bubble wrap and high quality brown paper for protection - postage cost slightly higher than standard courier costs to absorb this extra expense: I hope you understand. ***ALL VINTAGE BOOK LOTS CAN BE COMBINED FOR A 20% DISCOUNT: BUY TWO OR MORE LOTS FOR 20% OFF!***
