This is a first edition stated first printing as shown on the copyright page published by Houghton Mifflin Company in 1956. This copy would be incredible if it weren’t for the staining that runs through the the first story in this collection in it’s entirety, about twenty pages. After that the text is immaculate. The last five photos show the best and worst of the staining. The binding is square and tight. There is some stain to the bottom corner also as shown which does not affect the text or pages in any way. The light green boards are clean and the yellow lettering is bright and beautiful as shown. The dust jacket is complete and has the original price of $3.00 present on the front flap also as shown in the photos provided. There is very little wear to this jacket but for light soiling to the rear panel and one black spot in the middle and a small closed tear at the bottom left corner. The spine ends show minor wear and the jacket comes in a Mylar protector which can easily be removed should you wish to.
